Need some help on deciding what to do with the top end. trick flow kit? Edelbrock/AFR's/Comp Cam? any thoughts?

Everything i have is listed in my sig. nitrous is at 100, could get boosted.

Am also buying Maf and New Injectors-- Hmmm What size injectors as well?

AFR heads
performer RPM II intake and
FTI custon ground cam
30 lbs injectors
80mm Pro-m or whoever makes one now beside C&L
Scorpion RR's
Hardened pushrods
AFM power pipe
Among other things:
Suggested dyno tune with three separate tunes (controlled by toggle switch I suggest diablo)
1.street
2.performance NA
3.nitrous tune

let's also say that i am on a budget. would that set up produce that much more power than the trick flow kit?

of the things listed its like 3 grand, 2 grand sounds so much better.

But, if it's worth it il do it!

What Chris put down is exactly what I would have listed as far as big parts go. When the time comes I'll be building a 331 with AFR 185s, Performer RPM, and a cam by Ed Curtis. I can't honestly say about the gain difference between this particular setup and the Trick Flow kit, but I'm sure someone else can chime in and give you their knowledge.

iff you plan on keeping it a 302 or even going to a 306 stay with 165's moving up to a stroker then go to 185's just as a suggestion some disagree.
That combo will make more power than the TFS kit.
If your looking money wise make sure and save for the tune it will be much needed.

If budget won't allow you to do it all at once.

I say plan ahead as if money is no issue ... within reason.

Then do your plan in steps.

When you compromise with this part or that idea ... you just end with something thats not what you really want and will have regrets. It will take longer but each time you make a little progress, the frustration is gone for a while.

A bit more work that way but the complete job does get done.

I'd do at least the cam and heads first. If you can swing it, do your lt's at that time as their install is cake when you have your motor in a heads off condition.

This gets the big tear down out of the way and you got in place the foundation to build upon.

You then do the rest as money allows.

Good Luck :D
