HAHA, track times.....

Turbos like the load on the motor. It is possible for the motor to outrun the boost, since it's not directly connected to the crank. I'll end up going with 3.25's or so. But the gears go way too fast with the 4.11's to get an accurate reading on the AFR's.

you'll see on the TT t-bird build, this guy went faster by like 5 MPH and a few tenths by switching from 3.08 to 2.73's. And he still pulled 1.6 60's.:jaw:
My disclaimer: Will not be responsible if you enter that site and want a turbo. This is the link that Brianj5600 sent me that made me want one.

What you are saying about gears and turbos just turned on a big lightbulb in my head:

I work with Semi's, and driving them minus a trailer the first 4-5 gears or so are utterly useless, the engine shoots up through the RPM's very quickly and no/hardly any boost is developed. Once you hit about 5-6th gear, you are pushed into the seat and accelerate like a mofo (yea thats techincal jargon) as the boost goes through the roof.

I think higher gears is just one more reason to fall in love with turbos.

That's what that website did for me, too.

That is a huge reason I went that direction. Then I found how much more poer they make, all while being easier on the block.
