Handling, Suspension Upgrade???

I currently have BBK 1.5 Progressive springs and Steeda Full Length Subframes and every other suspension is stock besides those two. I wanted to know what else i can get to help keep the car on the road during tight cornering and make it stick to the ground better? I heard about lower control arms but what does that really do??

If you want the best stuff, look into a Griggs setup. It will definitely cost you, but nothing else even compares. If you want to go the cheap route, look for some adjustable shocks/struts and some sticky tires. You could have the best suspension setup in the world, but if your tires are shot, you will still be all over the place. Lower control arms help more for 1/4 mile drag racing, while the upper control arms are more to control the side-to-side movement of the axle during hard cornering.

So for more control from side to side movent during cornering i need upper control arms? Thats exactly what i am looking for. Where can i buy them from??> Will the upper control arms help keep the car on the road and not hop too much? I have 315 Nittos outback.

Are you auto-x or just for the street? I would look into some kind of suspension package from a company and then stick with them. You will find that some components from one manufacturer are not compatable with others. Like I said before, if money is not an object than check out Griggs racing or Maximum Motorsports or Steeda. All have good packages at reasonable prices. True upper control arms will help, but I don't know if by themselves they will make that much of a difference. You will most likey get best results if you get a full rear end setup (for example Steeda's five link).

Just want them for street use, want to improve handling a little better than I have now. The Steeda Subframes made a huge difference. I have another $400 to spend on another piece of suspension part so I just want to know which will make the biggest difference.

I just got my most of my suspensoin installed, MM caster camber plates, H&R Super Sport Springs, Bilstien Shocks, already had sub frame connectors, I also decided to get the MM Panhard Bar. When I asked the MM guys what makes the biggest difference between the lower control arms and panhard bar they said the panhard bar makes is the biggest bang for your buck mod. I havent gotten a chance to install the Panhard bar yet so I cant tell your first hand.

Heres what they said.

"The RLCA's will give you better lateral traction as well as forward traction. The PHB will pretty much stop all lateral movement of the axle which enables you to corner and get through turns much quicker."

you could get some Shocks thaty would help. you could get a front and rear sway bar, you could get Strut tower braces, or a K-member

Go for the Maximum Motorsports rear grip package. You get LCA's and the Panhard bar. That'll make the rear end feel alot tighter. I think it's a little over $400, but save up and go for it. Probably the best thing you can do for you suspension for the dollar considering what you've already put in.
