If one were looking to do some autocross action, which car is more solidly built for handling the turns?

Stock suspension on both? I'd give the edge to the Cobra with it's IRS. I believe the 05's suspension can be modified to handle just as good if not better than the IRS though...

Good question, the terminator would lack real bad in an autox course since it's about small turns and the loppy DOHC and blower (top heavier) would hurt the car than it would over a SOHC nonblown car, and autox's are more about tires and brakes than power and handling

Agree 100%. The IRS in the terminator will not make up for the improvements in the newer GT

well, on a autox with smooth pavement, the IRS on the Cobra dosn't give you any advantage, so I'd hand this to the stick axle in the GT, on the other hand in real world driving where the road isn't perfectly smooth, the IRS will definitely give you better capabilities, since each wheel will adjust to the imperfections in the road, vice the entire axle and other wheel having to adjust for them..

Wrong, friends that I know have no problem with the 05's. 03-04 Cobras IRS helps, and power is no comparison. The cobra has brakes, power and suspension improvements that the unmodified 05 can't hanle.

Engine Suggestions on an engine rebuild. Stock cam/GT40Ps or aftermarket on both for a fun weekend driver?
