Happened Twice Now- WTF?

It has now happened twice on my '02 Roush II- the first time I was driving off the highway into a gas station exit- came to the ramp at about 70mph- shifted into N- let the clutch out and the steering wheel stiffened up to the point that I had to turn the car off and restart it to unlock the steering wheel. Then, same situation on the streets and it happened again. Should I not be shifting into neutral or is it something else! Please advise!!!!!

clean or replace your IAC and take it for a spin...

Something like that used to happen to me in my Infiniti G35 cpe. At speeds higher than 79 or once in a great while lower, dumping the clutch would cause the RPMs to drop and the car would shut off. That is scary as hell especially when approaching a curve, exit or tollway. It happened right after I installed my cold air kit.

My car used to turn off when I shifted into neutral around 65-75mph, came to note that one of the vacumm hoses was halfway disconneted.

That happened to me a few times after I put the FRPP 70mm TB on my 02 GT. I ended up using the adjustment screw to open up the butterfly a little more and then let the IAC bring the idle back down to normal. Then opened it a little more and the same with the IAC. Since I did that it's never happened again. Don't know if it'll help you but it's worth a shot.

I have heard of this happening at the track when running with the head light pulled. It has got to related to a situation with the intake or problem with IAC.

Hmm.. i don't think i've ever tried putting the car in neutral at 70 mph.... I usually break and put it in 4th then neutral if I have to stop..
