Any builder who's worth anything will test fit and file the rings if necesary. Heck, I used to do that when rebuilding industrial HVAC compressors. It's not that big of a deal. It just takes a little more time.

Anyways, congrats on the build. Now get us some dyno numbers!

Yeah I wouls like to see you dyno #s and track times on the new motor. I also wonder how how you manifold is keeping you back.

Dustin

Hi,
You might be right about the manifold, though I think my next mod will be a custom cam. Have some specs from Buddy Rawlns and waiting to hear from FTI. Spent to much money for the time being maybe this summer a custom cam?
Dyno numbers next week if the snow leaves and I can book the time.

Pops, congrats! You didnt do a custom cam and a new intake I see? Anyway, besure to break it in the right way, please! http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

The last thing you wanna do is drive it like an old lady for "xxx" amount of miles. Way over kill on the forged internals for a stock block but too each their own. I'll predict 310hp/350tq.

Thanks for the break in info.. will do my best. The cam didn't work with the money and the timing, Iam to impatient, and was spending to much money. On the forged internals... My sons (Tom ..GM of Pauls where I got the block and Jay ASE cert. mech.) beat me into submission on that.???

Dyno later this week Steve
