If you're in the market for and can afford something like this, it's kind of a no brainer. Get it. However, choose ONE to drive and modify, or you'll break the bank. BEFORE you buy, evaluate WHY exactly the guy burnt out on, and can't sell it. Then, evaluate the quality of his work. You don't want to buy a pile of **** that's going to blow up on you in 2 months. Buying a modified car like that can be a serious gamble. He may have done something terminal to the motor from that supercharger, and knows this, and is trying to dump it before it blows. You never know. Or, it could be a dream come true.

I am 100% sure Ford NEVER offered a factory installed sunroof in the 2000 Mustang. I bought a brand V6 in 2000 and their was no sunroof option. I'm not a betting man, but I'd bet money that Ford has not sold a factory installed sunroof since 1993 when they stopped the Fox body production.

I agree with v8only. My friend just bought a 40K mile 01 Camaro SS with a supercharer that puts 450 hp to the wheels. It was a chick that owned it, and her husband wrecked it... he spent a ton of money getting it to look good, only got to put 200 miles on it when it threw a rod and threw chunks of the block all over the road when he was backing out of his drive way. Cracked the block from one side to the other. So my advice is be careful!!!

Ok! I'll see if I can find someone to help you move this thread to TALK!

As far as the car goes.... You just have to decide which of the two cars you like better and whether or not you want to maintain a car payment. Figure $250 to $300 a month for payments plus the additional insurance vs. putting that money into your Fox. If you get the newer one, I'd sell the Fox. Put whatever you get out of it into whatever the newer car needs.

It is a dealer installed accessory. Installation quality can vary wildly.

He's talking about a 2000 modle year car. I said......

I know this because I would have bought it if they offered it. But I will have nothing to do with an aftemarket sunroof. So I pay attention to such things.

In 2000 their was NO factory option for a sunroof. And until someone shows me Ford literature that says other wise, I stand by my assurtion they did not offer factory installed sunroof's in the '94-'04 cars.

I think the sunroof dude was referring to this statement.

That car sounds sweet. But wouldnt you have a car payment and stuff? Why not just use the car payment money for your fox body?

I say jump on the newer stang. However, if your the type of person that can't just drive it and needs to further modify it, might be a money pit. As for the sunroof, there is a difference between "factory" and "dealer installed/option". Ford hasn't offered a sunroof from the factory since the foxbody.

I agree with the others, it could be a pile of crap...especially if he is looking to dump it off for 12k. How many miles does it have? How long has the blower been on? How old is the guy? You pretty much know that a car like that has been dogged and raced a lot, if not, it wouldn't be modded.

You've gotta figure in the car payment...with interest you'll end up paying more much more than 12,800. The extra taxes at the end of the year and extra insurance will also cost. I like not having a car payment because if I get tired of my car I can just mod it more, which keeps me liking it.

Since you work at the dealership, can you get on of the mechanics that actually knows their head from a hole in the ground and have them look at it? I know $$$ can be a problem, but I faced a similar situation and bought a '01 gt convertible and kept my '91 this allowed me more time to go through and do things right on my build up thus far.. If you can swing it(now and in the future) go for it a...assuming it checks out ok.

and next to the roush kit, the stalker is a pretty aggressive lookng kit....

Oh yeah, I'm also leary of the just wants to get what I owe, because from the sound of the sound, he could pocket a lot more if he sold it himself I don't know but 2+2 doesn't seem to add up to 4 on this one
