I second that WOW count your blessing that it didn't chew up your crankshaft. I sure hope you visually inspected the crank to make sure there was no scaring/damage of any kind.

well, what i can see it looks ok.. but i dont have the engine taken apart. no one thought a bolt could bend the crank, but it did split a 1/4 inch think piece of metal so im a little worried. I guess we'll find out after i put the new one back on

I have seen that a few times, but usually it is from cars that are supercharged.

Well, the new damper is on and adjusted the timing and the car runs great. Actually seems to shake less then it did before i broke it. Thanx to everyone for the pointers!!!
