First Off, Love this forum. Almost more then I love my stang. You guys are a The only resource I trust!.

Alright, Have an 88LX 5.0. Stripped down to bare bones right now. Currently in Metal Replacement stage / Epoxy. Damn Motorcycles keep pulling me off my baby. Did Mass air conversion before teardown. Notice harness is cooked, insulation was falling off at most parts of the harness.

Here's my question, I have a lead on a brand new unused OEM ECU harness from a 93' 5.0 w/Mass air. Will this be a direct fit replacement? I've read about problems tapping in to the dash harness. In regards to a single round and double round connector.

The OEM ECU harness part # is F2ZB - 12Z581 - P260G.

Will it work? Any Modifications required? I was going to buy the new FRP Intigrated harness for 720 bones but this one seems a little more affordable

Thanks Guys
Jim

What exactly is wrong with your current harness?? If the wireloom and insulation is falling off, i'd just get some new loom. You cannot plug an play any other harness besides an 89 harness. It will be extremely difficult for you to adapt a newer harness. Your better off finding an 89 harness, OR finding ALL the harness out of a 91-93 car. Hope this helps and good luck! :nice:

Thanks 1990Coupe. Took me a while on the net lastnight to investigate all possible scenerios. :nonono:

I cancelled the bid on ebay for the 93' harness. Upon further review, my ECU harness isn't the one with the problems. It wasn't just the loom and wrap comming off. It was the actual Wire Insulation as in "I found the Black wire with the white stripe, touched it and copper" hahhahahaha.... And little hunks of black chunks everywhere.

Thanks for all your input guys. Looks like I'm going to go grab the ol' multimeter a case o' beer and look for any 1's ;)

Was just hoping that sexy new harness would work. So pretty with the original part #'s and sexy OEM tape ;)
