VAW or www.vintageautoworks.com? I ordered parts from them some three weeks ago and since then I have not been able to contact them and they have not contacted me. They have a few hundred dollars of mine and I have no parts from them. They are located in Dacula, GA. If anyon has any information on this company I would appreciate it.

Looks like one of those places that takes your order, then has the stuff direct shipped to you from the actual manufacturer or wholesaler. I bet they work out of the house with no warehouse.

It's easy to make a cool looking website....

I'd never buy from someone nowadays unless I researched them some first.

What happened when you called them? If you paid by credit card i would dispute it and let your credit card company handle it.

I am in the process of disputing it right now. I expected the stuff to be drop shipped. I don't care where it comes from but the prices were a little better than another outfit out of NY that I have had good dealings with. I called a few weeks ago and the phone would ring about 10 times and then a recording saying nobody was available to take the call. Then a week or so ago there was an actual answering machine that would allow you to leave a message. Now when I call it says it has been disconnected. What to do what to do????

If you paid by CC, then you have to wait 15 days. After that, they will dispute the charges for you. Basically, they have to provide proof of shipment, such as a tracking number. No proof of sending it out, they have no case. You get reimbursed!
This not only goes for products, but services rendered. Such as shipping. On the post earlier about someone dealing from their home, offering good prices.
This outfit actually produced a tracking number, for 2nd Day Air, leaving on a Monday. Well, knowing where I'm shipping it to is remote = extra day for services, no matter what! I check tracking on Thurs. Well, they only drop it off on thurs. It won't get where it's going till next Mon, because of the weekend.
Basically I refused shipment. He wanted to just charge ground charges. I go, people pay for next day air becasue they need it ASAP! Cost is not an issue. You missed the deadline. You even produced a tracking number saying I would get it by thurs. Anyway, it got back to him in two days!!! I stopped it at the destination depot.
If I would have received it and then disputed the charges, I would of had a HARD time, this guy was a jerk!! He DID NOT provide the services he had promised. He got it back, now he actually has inventory!

I disputed it via my bank. The charges were reimbursed in 2 days.
