Well I just recieved my mach 1 struts/shocks and FRPP C spring along with my steeda full length (zinc plated) sfc's. I was just curious if anyone has ever welded them up themselves, and what was all involved? A good friend of mine is going to be installing them with me. He is a welder and has built a couple drag cars in his day, so I am pretty sure he knows what he is doing, but can anyone give me any tips or tell me any problems you ran into? Know of any write up's online about it?! thanks!

tip:

Load the vehicle's suspension during the install/welding (ie - use a drive-on ramp/lift OR load all corners of the suspension).

Reference: TXsnakecharmer has a good write-up, linked below:

This tip is VERY, VERY important. If you put the vehicle up on jack stands that are placed under the frame of the vehicle, you will actually be welding SFC's to a vehicle that is kinda, I guess you could say, Pre-Twisted. If you have the vehicle on ramps in the front and Jack Stands under the axle tubes as shown, then you are good to go cause the chassic is under absolutely no flex stress. To see for yourself, just put jack stands under the front and rear sub frames (those without stock of aftermarket SFC's) and try and open your door. It will act like it is sagging. Now, try that after SFC's are installed and you will be pleasantly surprised at the difference. :hail2:
