I'm putting a 351w into a 93' - 4 cyl (2.3) coupe - I know I'll have to get the 5.0 part of the harness for the T-5 trans I'm going to run with - but besides that... and tweaking a few things for the fuel pump (I plan on getting an external elect. one) ...is there anything else I need to know?
My buddy said to just 'scrap' the whole thing
- find something from
'year one' / painless and just re-wire it all - but I thought I could keep lights ...gauges - etc etc ......anyone ever 'wire' in a 351w carburated ....using a 2.3 cyl harness ....
I've downloaded alot of 93' yr diagrams ...searched around in these forums etc as well....mostly found for a 5.0 EFI conversion from diff yrs etc ...
Do I need a 5.0 harness complete or can I use the 2.3 and switch out the trans....wire it off of the 2.3 ?
I'm in AZ - emissions are always a problem - but I can file for an exception or get a PO box on an indian reservation - so I will not need O2 sensors / charcoal can etc - plus when 2013 hits..it maybe exempt for being 20 yrs old...looking into that - or I may just need an H-pipe w/cats ...not sure ....anyway if anyone has experience with this it would be great...
