So I go take my 93 coupe to get inspected today and they say they cant do it. I ask why, the attendant says he cant get it in gear. I look at him kinda funny and am thinking WTF? It drove here just fine...

He says if I can get the car started, put it in gear and on the dyno for emissions without any problems then I can drive it during the test.

He then says wow, my clutch in my Honda is nothing like that. It turns out the guy hasnt ever had to drive a car with a heavy dutiy clutch in it. I guess my 4 year old King Cobra clutch was too much for him.

Oh yeah, it passed emissions with flying colors too

I put the factory catted H-pipe back on for the test, it sounds like crap now. I might switch it back this weekend or finally break down and buy a high flow catted H or X pipe.

Don't bother buying a high-flow piece - it'll sound about the same as a stock cat'ed H-pipe, maybe just a *slight* tone change if you get a cat'ed X. Just keep doing what you're doing, swapping in the OEM H-pipe for smog testing and then putting the off-road unit back on, afterwards.

Hey moderators, is this worh a custom CT?

"I had to drive my Mustang onto the emissions dyno and do the testing myself because the attendant couldnt handle my heavy duity King Corba racing clutch." j/k

I've had to take my car off the lift, myself, after getting a set of tires because the retarded tech couldn't figure out where the Reverse gear was located ... partly because the shift knob doesn't have an idiot pattern cast/painted onto it, and partly because the T-5 is just a picky turd about going into Reverse, anyway (gotta put it in 5th, THEN Reverse).

When I had my emissions done it was raining and the guy couldnt get the car on the rollers... kept spinning the tires.

Then once he finally got the car on there he kept giving it too much gas and the car looked like it was gunna fly off the rollers... I was kinda pissed....

never had them complain about the clutch... but when i brought my car in, the power windows didnt work... when it was on the rollers, the windows were down and I asked the guy how he got them down... he's like "uh... i pressed the button" hahaha, apparently they started working just for him... now they work fine again. lol

I need to buy a shorty H pipe w/ cats just for that reason. They are threatening to start emissions in Florida.
