Head/Cam swap - Day 1

Just a little info here. I got started on installing everything tonight. I didn't get much done since I got started late, but anyway..I got the cam in and the timing chain on (that was a b****). I was also able to verify TDC and it looks to be just about dead on. Tomorrow I will check PTV clearance and degree the cam first thing, and then hopefully get everything put back together. I'm still not sure about the VC's, its going to be close on clearance.

BTW - Idiot question here, but does the grooved end of the pushrod go up or down, thanks.

I will hopefully post some pics and and definetely an update tomorrow.

I know you said you have to degree it still but the way you make it sound it sounds like you think your done with messing with the timing chain...

The fun is having to take that baby on off a couple times..

What are you going to put your dial indicator on?

I just got the cam degreed and its OK, I think (see related cam thread). So hopefully I'm done screwing with the timing chain......

I know when to admit I'm in over my head, and I'm in over my head! Luckily I have my dad to help today.
