Head Gasket for 306 with gt40 Irons

hmmm...not gonna argue about anything, mine are still in my car since I have coppers on now, got the 1011-2's for a backup, but I do know that MANY guys on here and other places run the 1011-2's on 400-500 rwhp cars and they last. If your tune is fine, the gaskets shouldn't blow. Thumper recommended the 1011-2's if that means anything. Either way, that's the fel-pro number, you could check into the FMS gaskets, but I think the 1011-2's are what most guys use around here w/ good results from the majority of them from what I understand.

Is this the right head gasket for a 306 With gt40 Irons?

Fel-Pro fel 9333PT1

If I have a 302 will this not work? Is there a graphite Headgasket for stock thinkness, that will work with the gt40 irons?

Either of the Fel Pro's you list will work. I think the 9333 is the lower priced standard replacement gasket. The 1011-2 is a more performance oriented type.

I have used both, and gotten many miles, out of both types. I have used them with the with GT40 irons, on my 68 block, also, no problems. Highly recommended. Also not had a problem with Victor brand stuff that I use now.

If you are losing head gaskets, I would check into deck straightness, head straightness, intake fitup, etc.
