Im going with a roush 200cc head with tfs stage 1 cam with 1.7's on a stock bottom end. I know the combustion chamber on the roush 200's are 64cc. that will lower my compression, which isnt good to me. i want to get as much compression as i can by using a thinner head gasket but dont want to cause any problems by going too thin, ive heard they can be a risk. Anybody running a thinner head gasket with a similar set up as me? What gasket and how much compression do you really get out of it? Thanks for any help!

why not just have the heads surfaced for a lower compression ratio?

exactly... and i noticed you asked a question about pushrods in another thread... you will want to shave the heads before measuring for pushrods. oh, and shaolin, i corrected your statement to show what you actually ment. i hope no offense.

It's been a while since i rebuilt mine but i think 20 thousands off the heads only raises the comperession by about 0.2-5. Correct me if i'm wrong it's been a few years since i did the math. Compression ratio is the only thing I would change if I had to do it again. I built mine with a turbo in mind and never made it that far, so i'm stuck with my lower ratio.
