Head question

On my 01 the number 3 plug blew out of the head and destroyed my coil. I checked the threads and there are none left on the head. I am going to eventually change out the whole motor and was planning on p/p the heads then but I still have a lot of life left in the stock short block. I know the options but just shooting for peoples oppinions.

If you're going to have to pull the heads, might as well get them rebuild now since prices on headwork are going up all the time anyway. This way, you'll have part 1 done when you go to swap motors.

same thing just happened to me on the #3 cylinder in my 99. Were they original plugs?

No they weren't

But they were motorcraft
