Header To Mid Pipe Stud

Hello guys, I will be taking my off road X out of my 04 GT and putting my stock H back on for a few days. During that time I need to I to replace one of the studs that holds the header and mid pipe together on the passenger side b/c I screwed up when I was installing my X Pipe and all that’s holding it in place is one nut now (no leaks, don’t know how but there hasn’t been any 6 months after the install). So has anyone done this before and have any tips to safe me a headache doing this, tools I may need and such. Any suggestions welcome

Ouch - thats going to be hard to do in place. Normally I would put two bolts on a stud to remove it, but if you have buggered the threads I'm not sure what the best course of action is. Maybe vice grips??? Hopefull you won't have to remove the header to remove it.

If you can get a nut on it the stud some, (even just slightly onto the end of the stud), you could weld the stud to the inside(threads) of the nut, then spin the stud out with a socket.
