I got a set of halos for my car but I can't figure out how to get the stock ones off. I'm sure it's something extremely simple, but I can't figure it out. Thanks.

sit in the back seat and reach up and towards the front of the seat you will feel a clip that needs to be pulled towards the front of the car. Than go back up there with a small flat head screwdriver and pry the clip and pull the headrest up. The first one I did on my car too a few tries and probly an hour but the second one took less than 45 seconds I kid you not lol.

You can slip a thin piece of flat metal down the groove, or release the J clip holding the material on and reach up inside the seatback and pry it with a screwdriver.

do what i did. i tried it going from under and using a flathead, but i found out this works the best. pull up on the headrest to creat tension. then use a hacksaw blade and gently slide it down the front. be careful though cause the blade is stiff and can break, just let it bow/bent a little. then slide it down you push down on it, making sure you still in the middle of the metal post. remember to pull up while sliding down the hacksaw blade.

I had a time doing them on my vert (I see you have a vert and HT) - there was some good corrosion inside the seat from times it rained with the top down. So be prepared for it to be sticky (I had to pry and break the corrosion free, so parts would move. Before that I couldnt figure out what was supposed to move since it was frozen).

Jrichker was kind enough to take a picture of the guts for me (I think that's what Roland posted above). That helps a lot when you're feeling around inside the seat.

Good luck.
