heads on a 94 please help

my buddy and i are getting ready to tear down this motor. it is a 71 302. there is a bit of work done to it and the heads. my question is will the 71 heads work with his stock lower intake with efi and will the altenator water pump and stuff bolt onto the 71 block any info u can give me on what will and wont work would be great thanks

wow i don't know about most of it, but i have read that the 94/95 e7s are better heads, and if you have them, you might think about trying to use them. they have heat risers in them and they also have the ports in the backs (both are used for emissions), which might be a consideration if you live in a state where they have strict emissions rules.

also, for what it's worth, i have a 1971 351 based engine going into mine, and my understanding was that my accessories would bolt on. but i decided to go with march brackets, so i will never know if that is true or not.

compared to aftermarket heads today, yeah, they suck. but compared to the stock heads in 1971, they are (supposedly) better.

well we will probally use the 94 heads since it will need to be inspected but i have no idea what pa has for emmission laws is anyone familiar with them
