Heads the same?

I bought the car pretty much in pieces. Ready to install the heads. I know puttting them back in the right place is the best. However I don't have that option. I was just wondering if the heads where identical or are there any marks identifying which way they go. (oil passages line up, etc)

Yea, heads are either side. Doesn't matter.

Although, look for the threaded inserts. Make sure that the ones for your accesories are on the "front". This is the only thing that could give them a definite left/right configuration.

Yup, heads are the same but the inserts are only threaded into the "front" of the heads.

Make sure you locate the inserts and position them right

Outstanding, You guys are great. Just bought the car a month ago. I look forward to providing a link to a cardomain site, as soon as I get pics uploaded. Don't expect to much of the body. I give $100 for the whole deal. With a brand new $70 oil pan, and $30.00 1 piece fel-pro oil pan gasket.
