whats the best head in your preference?? AFR and twisted wedge seems to be the top two? what cam combo do you recomend with each? thanx

afr 165 heads are hands down the best 302 heads. They are $$$ tho, but you get what you pay for.

Theres alot of cam choices, the best being a custom cam.

what do you think a set of 165 AFR heads and a FTI custom cam would run me $? and how much hp would that put me at about?

Track times have alot more to do with the whole combo then just a set of heads and a cam. Things like track elevation, tires, gearing etc. What will be the whole combo and what kinda tires will you be running?

check my sig for everything i have now, and nitto 555dr's 245's for tires... elevation im not really sure but its gotta be close to sea level around here

Just the heads and FTI cam will run you around $1650, and abour $1800 if you go for the spring, seal, & stud upgrade, which is highly recommended. I just ordered them from Ed @ FTI. It looks like you already have most of the supporting hardware, I would still figure at least another cuople hndred for gaskets, bolts, etc..... hope that gives you some idea. Drop Ed Curtis at FTI and email, he'll have plenty of info, and he is a great guy to deal with!

If you run on Maple Grove Raceway , Elevation is 548 ft
