Hi! New here. My daughter (17) drives a 66 mustang that we fixed up for her (yeah I know spoiled). Anyway, its getting colder here in NJ and she is trying to figure out the heater controls. What is that knob over the controls that go left and right?
And, when she does move that knob, her fuse blows out for the cigarette lighter (no she doesn't smoke, she uses it to charge up her phone or Ipod if needed).
I think the defroster is on the right, but, she does not feel anything up by the window. HELP!

The switch on top is for the heater fan, something is wrong if you are blowing the fuse. Have the left and center knob down for heat. The right knob is for defrost, but you won't feel anything without that fan running.

Probably a bad motor. Here is a simplified diagram of the circuitry if you feel so inclined to troubleshoot with a meter or test lamp.
