Heater Core Fix

I tried to search for this topic but it's been a few years since I've been on the site but I couldn't find anything. Thinking about buying a 92 lX and the heater core needs replacing. Do you guys know a round about of what it would cost to replace it? Thanks!

read through this thread. theres a few tips that will save you lots of time and effort. Pay close attention to posts #10,12,17. this is the method i have used

Hey Speed... That's a pretty good write-up. If you have the time, can you copy/paste the info portions of that thread to a resource? If so, I can turn ownership over of that resource over to the OP so he gets the credit.

nice write up. Make sure you

1. test the new one before installing for leaks
2. install restrictor plugs in the tubes

It's a real PITA and took me about 6 hours to do on my last car. Seeing that I live in S Fla, I just bypassed the one on my current car as who needs heat here. lol

I have enough heat coming through my trans tunnel I don't need a heater. What part of fl are you in?
