Heater Core Headache

I just busted my third heater core in a year... this one only lasted 2 weeks.

Whats going on here?

My cooling system consist of an aluminum radiator, 180 degree stat, high miler hoses, and a now busted core. I have the reducer in the line as came factory for 1993. I've completely flushed the system all three times I've changed the core.

Help me think of some possible causes because I am at a loss and I'm sick of smelling antifreeze in my car .

3 in one year?That`s insane and replacing the heater core is a pita job.

Are you buying parts store junk heater cores?

Buy a Ford heater core.They are built better than the parts store garbage.

Ford hasn't made their own cores in the last 18 months... you wind up paying $45 for cheap chinese junk.

I order high quality cores, I just have some sort of underlying issue with pressure or something that I need to figure out.

I bought a new heater core from Ford 4 months ago.
It was made in Mexico by Valeo,the company that supplys stock clutches for Ford.

It was better constructed than the NAPA core I pulled out.The NAPA core lasted 8 years.

Make sure theres a flow restrictor in the inlet hose and all the factory black sealer in the heater box is removed.

Sounds like crappy cores .3 in one year is crazy.
