HEATER CORE HELP PLEASE!!

me and my stepdad are doing a heater core swap. we have the whole dash out and we are proceeding to take the heater box out that contains the heater core. one problem.. we cant pull that box out to work on it because theres an air conditioning tube that runs from the radiator to the box that wants to come out with the box... but it wont. i need help from anyone who has done this swap to help me find out how to disconnect this tube.. rghh i dnt wanna give up now cuz i have the whole damn dash out .. ahhh

thats one of the a/c lines to the evap core, it is connected with a spring loaded quick disconnect, you will need a set of a/c line disconenct tools to remove it.

And you'll need the A/C evacuated first.. obviously.

ok. swap is done.. luckily we just unscrewed two of the bolts on the top part of the case, and we managed to pry it open just enough to slip the old core out and the new one in. . what a pita, though.
