Hi guys quick question,
I remove the metal tube they go to the heater core and i put rubber hose . My question is do you think the valve cover is too hot for the prestone hose because the hose touch the cover and the intake . Do you think the hose gonna melt ??

The hose won't melt. Not hot enough for that. If it laid on the exhaust headers that would be another story.

I wouldn't be worried about the hose melting, the old "boil water in a paper cup" thing, what I would be worried about is vibration against the valve cover or intake wearing a hole in the hose. I would try to route the hose around the engine if possible.

The hose isn't hot enough to catch fire....coolant also doesn't burn.....

In many years I haven't seen a mustang rerouted heater hose get a hole rubbed in it on the intake. I'm sure if could happen...but...it would take many many miles.
