Here is my question, If I do not plan on ever using my heater in my car, can I block off and remove the hoses? I only drive it in the warmer months otherwise it is garage kept. Will it cause any cooling issues them not being there?

best method to eliminate a heater is to bypass it by running a hose from the outlet on the manifold to the return fitting on the water pump. That way it will aid in engine cooling by circulating water threw the engine.

Exactly as mentioned, run a short hose from the intake to the water pump.

The benefit is not from the hose, but from the water circulating. Helps to even the temp in the engine. We never had oveheating problems with the Fords with plugged heaters, but the small block chevys would overheat without a heater or a hose to bypass it. So I've always figured it can't hurt on any engine.
