first off how can you tell the gears in the new transmission will be hardened and
I asked for 5th gear ratio to be .67 and they said that was fine the next day he called me back and said they could put a .58 5th gear in. So how can you tell and
gear ratio would you go with? 5.0 h/o cold air intake, header soon to add supercharger

get the .58 OD ratio, will make your cruising rpms down on the highway.

slap the gears with a screwdriver and listen to the sound, if the gears make a short crisp tingy sound , thats a sign of hardend metal.

but i think all transmissions gears are hardened steel to some exent
