N.H.
my brother has a '00 GT he just bought with the dreaded plug blow out. Went with the M-6049/50-P46 heads with the M-6047-D46 kit. Turns out we have a Windsor engine. I read through the list that was archived but still a little fuzzy on the details. I know camshaft sprockets and v/covers will need to be changed but can someone tell me simply what else? Been a Ford parts guy for 25 years and I've learned that you go to the experts with the passion for stuff like this. Never done this type of tyhing with the Ford Racing Parts before. I'm an early Bronco guy myself but really want to take this thing for a rip when it's done! Thanks in advance guys and gals!!!!!

I don't understand why you just didn't time sert the head and go on with it. Your 2000 gt is a pi car already. Yes it does have a windsor motor, but still has pi heads.

Edited b/c I can't type for chit...

Yeah, this makes no sense. A 2000my Windsor motor is definitely PI from the factory.

It would have been a lot cheaper to simply repair the thread in the damaged head. Heck, it didn't even have to come off the car.

OPer, how much did you guys pay for all the parts? Can you get a refund?

You would have thought so but it has a Jasper reman in it. All of them had already been helicoiled, and one blew out again. It's going to be his wife's so we don't want a problem a year from now. Do it once and be done. Reman heads for the car are listing at 1400 a piece that's why we went this route. Not knowing that they only worked on a Romeo as a bolt in. Was kind of mislead when buying the heads...Stang was bought right and it was known that it would have to be repaired. Thanks again!

Looks like your on the right track. My motor is a romeo and I've never owned a windsor mod motor. If you get stuck post up. I have a good friend that has a windsor stroker motor I can ask questions if you need.
