Help 8.8 rear diff., oil change

so i'm taking off the diff. cover now to change the rear end oil (it's time and swiching to royal purple) i'm going to let all the old oil fall out. but i'm looking at the cover and the rest of the 8.8 and i can't find the fill hole.

How do i put the oil back in once the cover is back on?

On the front of the housing, drivers side next to the driveshaft. There is a little metal plug. I just used a 3/8in ratchet and extension to get the plug out. You might need to remove that dampener to gain access.

its still a good idea to add a bottle of friction modifier from ford combined with your synthetic fluid.it helps the clutch packs so dont forget it

painted the cover as long as i was at it

Replace cover

re fill with oil i used royal purple if it's good enuff for iron man it good enuff for my lady
