I have a 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 with the tremec 5 speed tranny. I just upgraded my engine to a 331 stroker kit. It has everything new. I spent about $2400 in parts and labor. I put a Crane 282 Cam, Mahle Pistons, and Eagled Crank. I have new roller lifters, and Crane timin set. New water pump. Electric fan, 130 volt alternator. and the damn car has a rough idle when cold and hot, and it overheats a lil past three quaters. I've changed the ECT, ACT sensors. I've adjusted the timing. However, does anyone know if the ignition timing should be changed since I added a 331 stroker kit?? Any ideas as to what could be gong wrong. Thanks

That is a good timing question. I just fired up my 347. I have a flex a lite fan. 3 core aluminum radiator. And it runs around 190 to 200. My fan stay on after it warms up. It seems to like a little more timing. I have it set at 14 right now on my car. I havent drien it yet because I still am adjusting some things and it started to poor outside. It seems that our cars might like more timing. Anyone?
