I am just getting my engine back from the machine shop and need a oil pan. It is a 67 mustang with a 390 and randalls rack steering. It has the pro motorsports wedge kit so it is lower than stock. I have a high output oil pump and would like a nice large oil pan to feed the new engine. Any suggestions?

Front or rear sump? You might even have to have one custom built for your setup, from the description you gave, it sounds like that's going to be the case. In any case, there aren't a whole lot of options for oilpans when it comes to FE series engines. Stock ones with front sump are : 5 qt.car, 6 qt. pickup. Rear sump? the only one was the mid 70's 4wd pan. Then there's the huge, straight from front to back, FT 11 qt truck pan. I think MIlodon is the only rear sump pan other than the 4wd one. Several others make deep front sump pans.

Canton Oil pans

You should consider the Canton pans for FE's here http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/pans/road_race/fe.html
