Help --GT40P Swap--Smog Pump Question --92 Stang

I am almost finished with my GT40P head swap, My question is; since I no longer have the exhaust feeding from my heads to my smog pump, what if any good does my smog pump do? If I also remove the pipe that feeds my exhaust, cap the vacuum ports and leave my pump in the car, how do I or do I cap off the smog pump it’s self ? Since I am leaving it on the car, It still should be pumping air, what do I do with this air?
