hi guys i have a little problem were can i get a replacement vac lines ????
i had my mechanic dissconect my polution pump and he pluged 2 vac hoses and he left them hanging andhe did not zip tie them to something to prevent them from touching my header's . Today i notice that that those vac lines touched the header's and they melted
the lines melted that go ito the fender well i did nos se the color of them and i hope it's not a pain to replace them
Plus the lines that run from EGR to the square plug that 4 lines connect to it is also melted right after the plug
What can i do please help
the only part that worry'sme is the one's that run in to the fender well i hope that it's not going to be a big pain to replace those
please help
now i know why my check engine light comes on

Thanks Derek.N

you can take the melted section of the vac. lines out. Simply cut the section of the tubing that is badly melted, then get a piece of rubber vacuum hose, and slip it over the hose. If it fits reasonably tight, it will work fine.

What I do is take the vac lines you need rejoin down to ace hardware or a local hobby shop, grab some hollow brass tubing that fits snug inside each of the vac lines.

Then cut some 1" pieces of tubing, stick them in one end, and then join the other. I then tape them up and you are done.

If you want to cap one off, get some rubber plugs that fit sung around the outside, and you are done. Or go the brass tubing route, stick it in the vac line, then make several pinches along the tubing, so it will not leak. That is how they cap of lines for refridgerators & a/c's.

yeah, do just like above.. get some more hose, connect where other is melted.. use a lighter and just melt the ends together (don't torch them)
