My horn doesn't work. So I bought a direct horn button kit from the auto parts store. It two wires that are run directly to the horn and I have to run my wires to the steering wheel where the new button is. Has anyone ever done this before? If so please tell me how and how long. If I don't get this fixed I won't be able to race in the True Street Class at Brandenton this weekend.

Thanks Guys!

I guess the real question here is why isnt your horn working? Putting that effort in the installing a new switch may be a moot point if you havent tested the system well enough.

Do you know if the horn works at all? All you need to do is apply 12v to the connector at the horn in the drivers fender. If it/they work then there is a relay that would need to be tested then the actual switches in the wheel or if you have a early fox its in the turn signal lever where you push it in the column.

I would fix the factory set-up. It is a very simple deal.

I know it is in the NMRA rules, but I have never had them check my horn.
