HELP! JMS chip f***ed up my car!

Update - I talked to JMS on the phone yesterday, and they weren't particulalry helpful. The guy tried to tell me first that my balancer might be off, but then gave that up when I told him that it was new and had been verified with TDC when I did the H/C/I swap about a month ago. After that he suggested it may be my MAF, but I haven't had any problems with that before, so I don't think thats it. He said I could send the chip back to them and have it tested, so I may do that. I also talked to my mechanic that I trust a lot and he said to run it by when I get back (out of town right now) so I will probably do that.

Its not so much the problems with the chip that I am worried about, its that after I took the chip out my car still won't run worth a crap and it ran fine before.

probably a stupid question, but did you reset it by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes?

Disconnecting the battery to "reset" the computer is a myth. The settings he has now are probably alot closer to what he needs then the stock settings. If you don't believe me, call the Ford tech line and ask them.

Not true at all dude. Disconnecting the battery for a while erases the KAM (Keep Alive Memory) and when you put it back on and drive the car, it should "learn" what do do.
