Okay, so i bit the bullet and scored a set of GT-40P heads.
Lets see what I need for a nice healthy combo.
My stock 97K mile lower end. Solid compression, still has cross-hatching.
stock GT-40P heads
Cobra Intake
65mm TB
TFS Stage 1 camshaft
MAF conversion w/24# injectors
Those are the parts I already have...now onto supporting mods.
P headers
RR's. Should I go 1.6's or can i get away with 1.7's with this setup?
Should i do any work to the heads? What should I do for springs? Doesn't TFS make a kit that works with the stock GT-40/E7 style head? What about porting?
What about the Cobra lower intake? A little porting by Tmoss??
I have PLENTY of time. I just want to build myself a little fun combo while i decide on a more serious setup (IE, supercharged 331, 4.6L DOHC swap, etc. )
