Help me build my Suspension $1500

I have $1500 to spend on suspension. My Car is a street car that will see about 5 trips a year to the drag strip and about 5 trip to a road race course. So 80% street 10% drag race and 10% road course. I would like to lower it about 1.25 to 1.5 inches. The car has 100,000 miles and nothing done to the suspension. I have already got the updated Cobra A arms and a Steeda bumpsteer kit but there not installed yet.
I was thinking about the The Maximum Motorsport Sport Box that includes the following parts: and I can get it for $1395.

• MM Strut Tower Brace Chrome finish
• MM 4-Point K-Member Brace
• MM Standard Subrame Connectors (bare steel)
• MM Panhard Bar with Aluminum Rod

I would get full length subframes instead of the stanard ones.

Yeah, it's hard to beat MM. If you have the $$$, go for it. Do you need to budget in installation, or are you going to do it yourself?

subtract the $$$ WASTED on the chrome and put that towards some lca's

I have had bad luck with PRO3i and would not buy anything from them. The Bullitt kit does not come with a panhard bar and I have heard some people do not like the shocks and struts.

How much would the install be? I could do it myself or just work some overtime and have someone else do it.

In the Bullitt suspension kit, the shocks are Tokico Premiums that are revalved for the spring combination so they are better than what you get in the MM box.

To properly run a panhard bar you need a torque arm or third link which you will not have with the box. I realize Bimmertech is in here and might mention the Poor Man's thid link. Honestly do it right once is generally the best policy. Read the panhard bar instructions and they will tell you that they require a T/A or third link. You will not have LCAs with the box so you must have those which are also required.

The reason that they Pro3i lowers are so very much an obvious copy is because the the guy at Pro3i was a co-designer at MM during the development phase so he has the rights to produce the same product.

Finally, the Bullitt kit will come with new sway bars which you will not have in the box. Honestly do whatever you want, but this is a very practical setup and a better use of money since it leaves you room for an alignment and tires.

ACTUALLY THE CO shouldnt be any harsher than stock even with much higher spring rates but i couldnt tell you about noise since i am still installing mine. But you can use the coil over at least on the front. and some good adjustable LCAs in the rear that wil give you full adjustibilty of ride height for street/drag/ and track..MM recomends using the stock UCAs with new stock style heavy duty bushing.

For whatever it's worth, everyone who runs MM seems to have GREAT luck with the stuff.

Unless you are a suspension guru, I would highly recommend having someone install all the stuff.

Make sure to get the subframe connectors with the seat track cross-brace. I should have...
