Help me decide: Yellow or Blue? Got pics?

I will be getting a few bucks to spend on the car in a few weeks and I'm definately going to paint it. I might throw a Saleen body kit on the car for good measure, any recommendations where to get the kit? Descent price and halfway descent fit?

Anyway, I was kinda forced to sell my last car when I really didn't want to, so all this time I pretty much vowed to duplicate it whenever I got the chance. Maybe I'm getting older, IDK, but I'm not sure yellow is the best for my car anymore. My last car was 05 Screaming Yellow and was pretty nice looking!

But now I'm kinda digging the blue/silver look. I like the blue body with a silver engine bay. And all my parts will be show polished so it'll look good against the silver engine bay.

What are your thoughts on this? If you have pics of your blue or yellow Mustangs, can you please post them for me, maybe it'll help me decide.

thanks!

Don't do Yellow. No way. Too many yellow ones on the road as it is, without you making another one. Go blue. That way you won't stand out in the crowd. Kinda blend in with all the Subarus, you know...

:D

Oh, yeah, and don't look at my sig pic. Will only make you hate yellow more...

I'd paint it the same color it is now, whatever it is. If you want to change the color of the car it's like 3 times the work to do it right. It means pulling everything out of the engine bay and painting the engine compartment. It means taking everything off the car and having it sprayed seperately, pulling the glass, the list goes on. If you keep it the same color, you can be a little more careless in some places, and still have the car look great when you are done. If you change the color of the car, it's going to look like butt if you don't do everything perfect.

I did a color change on my last car. I didn't have to remove any glass when I did it. And the motor was out anyway for other reasons, so it was a great opportunity. This doesn't look like butt does it? My old 95 GT:

I'm gonna be pulling the motor in my 94 to make way for an Explorer engine in the next month of so, so I'll have a great opportunity to paint the bay in preperation for a color change. I did all the prep work on my last car and the labor to paint it only cost 100 bucks! Not too bad for a 100 paint job!

Oh, and the interior was a color change too! Tan to Black

:nice:What color is the car now?

He's talking about a painted engine bay so i think he's gonna cover his bases. Good point though

My car is green right now and I hate it! It is my humble opinion that the deep forest green on these cars is the ugliest color they came in! (no offense to those who own this colored car) The color looks old even if it's brand new. The only other color that could possibly be worse is brown. :nonono:

why'd you get rid of the 95? looks like a really nice car.

but back on topic. i'd say go with blue. yellow is just yellow, you can't do anything else with it other than black. no other color compliments it.

I got rid of the car because I had 3 kids, 2 with carseats and the Mustang just wasn't getting the job done. A minivan was in order! However, the sad part is I had another Mustang lined up to buy for 1500 bucks but when I went to pick it up the guy already sold the car....talk about being disappointed, so I was Mustangless for a couple years.

Basically I wanted to clone my old car because I really didn't want to give it up, but like I said, I'm digging the blue with silver scheme. I think the car that got me thinking about that was the one in the Mustang of the month nomination thread for this month, it's NICE!

Yes! That's the one. My car isn't a Cobra or a vert, but I think that scheme would look awsome with a Saleen body kit and silver replica rims. That's the way I'm leaning anyway.

Would you happen to know what color his car is?
