Help me Decide! (CB versus JMS)

In a month or two I plan to put the Vortech SQ that's in my basement on my car. I have a 2000GT/5spd. I have been running a 100 shot through it, complimented by a JMS burned chip (mail order) which right out of the box I gained 12MPH in the quarter with it and the 100 shot.

Anyhow, now I'm trying to decide if I want JMS to reburn my chip for the vortech, or if I want a "cobra killer" tune which is "adaptive". The chip reburn will cost me about $100 bucks, where as the computer reflash will cost me $350.

How much better, really, is the "adaptive" tune.......is it worth the extra money?

I plan to stay on the stock bottom end as long as I can...at least a year. This will be a daily driven car, with maybe seeing track time 2-3 times a year.

What do you all think? ALL opinions welcomed! I've heard good about both.......what about both compared?

From what I understand, there are only 2 folks that can offer that adaptive tuning. One of them is Tim and his gang. He has told me that he has over 700 engines out now with the adaptive tune and has not lost one yet. That there is some pretty good numbers!

The adaptive tune will pull timing when it needs to to protect the motor, your chip will not. With the reflash you will get stock drivability, more power and safety. Your choice really but I would go with the cobra killer tune

You've already spend alot of money on the car......I think it's definitely worth paying the extra money to have the adaptive tune from Cobra Killer.
