I have a choice of either buying a set of used 42lb injectors with ~5k miles on them for $250 shipped, or a brand new set for $290 shipped. I'm thinking of going with the used ones. The guy claims they work perfectly and they aren't that old. I'm running short on cash and need to save some money... So if the used injectors are fine, go for thoes instead of the new ones

Dude... ALEX on TMS has a set for $180(they are used).

I was going to buy them for GINO, but he(gino) is being an IDIOT... so they are still up for grabs from ALEX.

Look in the classifieds, im sure you will see them if you search a little.

Dont jump on things man, if you wait, it will come.

I was hoping you weren't going to use 42s with your current setup. And then having all your exhaust parts for sale kind of gave it away. But I wouldn't have guessed that 42s would support twins.

Money is a little short so I was trying to find some used 42lb injectors for like $200. 42's should be enough because I'm only looking for 450-500rwhp

42's are plenty ...

Ide find a better deal then 250 though... for 200 i would do it. Buy em new if you cant find any deals.
This is somthing that you can get at last minute anyway, so wait on it, and keep browsing the classfieds, and if you cant find any, just order em, and have them shipped next day air.

IMO, the price is fair. Allow me to justify my reasoning.

Let me state that I don't believe most people when it comes to some parts of a car. One of those being injectors. With that said, I believe the injectors more than likely are in perfect working order. Why? Because he is charged "a lot." If they were sketchy or old and the workings of them were questionable, he would be charging 200 or even less. He is charging "so much" because he is confident that what he is selling is still "good."

You as well as I know that budgets do not make fast race cars. Unfortunately, we all have them. Working within the parameters of our budget to achieve maximum speed or ET often requires that one not be so "cheap." This is not an item to skimp on, even if cash is low. I say $250 is more than fair. If you want to wait, and pay for shipping, I say $290 is an even better idea.

Hell, if it were me this is what ide do..

Check the classfeids, and if I couldt find anything up until the last 2-3 days, i would simply drive over to JD's, or CFM and pick them up new.

Yeah, 42s are plenty for that HP. Curious as to why you're fooling with twins to make such a small amount of power? Unless it's just for the coolness factor

just go with them new and scrounge. They are only $40 more than the used ones that you were looking at, if you could get them for way less than 250 then it would be a better deal.

I think he means "small" in terms of the capable power output of the twins, relative to the amount you want to produce.
