The reason that we don't have issues with our cooling setup is because Arizona is typically 30 degrees (F)hotter than the temps you and I see. In fact, the dictionary could use Arizona as the definition of the word HOT.
I know nothing of cooling a car in those temperatures. I can imagine that it is very hard to pull hot air into a hot radiator and expect much of a drop in the coolant temperatures. Thus the need to rely on high CFM fans to pull massive amounts of air through the radiators to help pull heat off of the fins.
