im thinking maybe one chambers with an offroad h pipe or maybe some race bullets.. any other suggestions? will it be easy to find an x pipe for my setup wit the longtubes? any idea how much an h pipe or x pipe will run me?whats te difrence in sound with an h pipe and x pipe? any idea how much tails pipes will run me? well sorry for al the questions and thanks for any help...
p.s any idea how much power this motor will be making or what size exaust ill neeed to run ... ( just trying to reach a goal of breaking into the 12's)

Some people say MAC=CRAP but my 85gt Came with complete
system with L/T's and H pipe I like it. I would get a Prochamber
if you could (no cats though) Many brands are good Borla,
Bassani, BBK, Hooker, Headman and Mac to name a few.
Sorry you have Headers so Mac will not work you would need to get Mac headers I think. Anyway good luck!

wow what a post of questions. I have BBK long tube headers BBK off road h and flowmaster 40-series catback. I think it sounds VERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mean(if you go 1-chamber they will be loud but you wont have much flowmaster tone). i have also run dynomax race bullets with shorties and a catted h-pipe. they were also very loud like nascar LOUD. I am still outta all the exhaust i have heard a die-heart flowmaster fan. x-pipes sound more raspy while h pipes have a more growl /grunt. as for your combo i can see maybe 280+ to the wheels and if you can drive and hook i can see 12's for you with out much effort. as for exhasut size i wouldnt go any bigger than 2 1/2 for your current combo.most non-catted mid pipes are gonna run you around 100-200 depending on what brand.mac also makes a very nice set of 2 1/2 inch chrome pipes that look killer i think they run mid 100's???????i hope i got all of your questions let me know if i can help you out more. peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldnt get 1 chamber flows, I think they are too loud and dont sound good. I prefer something that sounds good myself. Sounding good and being loud is two different things. Right now, I have a Equal Shorties, Prochamber, Spin Tech Pro Streets, its pretty loud and has a nice sound to it. After I get out of high school, longtubes, catted x-pipe, borlas will be going in. They just sound smooth and mean. But I would look into a Spin Tech if you want a good sounding/loud muffler for the price.

I had Bullets dumped,REAL LOUD!! didnt sound like a 5.0. I had flowmasters,,very cool sounding And I now have Bassani Quiet Thunder with thier tail pipes So far they are the best sounding muffs Ive had so far.But I dont know why they call them Quiet Thunder. At first there pretty tame, but once they break in there not that Quiet,,and they have a very distinctive sound Oh yeah,I had all the muffs with an off rd BBK H-pipe. Good Luck

My buddy has a 2 cat h-pipe and 2 chamber flows. It sounds nasty dumped!! I actually felt a little jealous when he first started it up after the install. Luckily we were only testing the seals, and we installed the stainless pipes afterward...otherwise dumps would have been in my Gt's future too.
