Alright, the jackass i bought my 2000gt from the little hood scoop he cut out and put like this Insert mesh w/ lil holes but that is bad it is getting way to much water into the engine which thus will rust components. How do i go about getting a solid insert to take out what he put in there or to cover up the mesh holes of the Insert he put in there. anyone have any ideas? places to buy this kind of stuff or where to look or who to ask? i dont want water coming into my engine through those mesh holes please this is very important.

What a moron, I can't imagine doing that to mine. Maybe it's better just to buy a different hood???

i cant bro =[ at least not now, im so poor right now man. I have to find another solution at least to hold me over or so the problem does not continue, their must be an insert on the market that is solid, or i could use something to run along the back of it under the hood to cover the holes like some kind of steel or something.

might have to buy a new hood scoop and either take the pieces you need of it or have the whole thing painted and replace the old one.

i bet it wont cost more than $10 at ur local dealership. Just go inside to the parts counter and ask. Check eBay or www.stangparts.com as well.

Dude, if you are to broke to go to Ford and spend $12 for it (I called a dealer), then take the dame thing out and use some kind of epoxy to just seal up the cracks.

It may look like ass, but it will only cost you a few dollars. I highly reccomend just geting the correct part for it though.

IMHO that one from Ebay looks fugly.

You could seal off the original hole however you wanted no matter how bad it looked if you wanted to get a 2001-2004 hood scoop and put on it. It would cover up the repair and nobody would know it was there but you.

Im guessing i would need to get the Vent cover W/o scoop one for my car, cuz the 2000gt doesnt have the cool scoop like the 2002's etc. its just like a vent hole of sorts.
