haha. Anyway, the differential on my 2000 GT Vert is roaring like crazy, and the tranny was a little iffy also, so I took it to the dealer (should be under warranty). They took it all apart and told me that the spacers between the clutches in the differential are worn out, and that I have broken two adjuster springs in the tranny. They also said that this is due to "hot-rodding" as they put it, and refuse to pay on the warranty. They will pay eventually, trust me.
While they had it taken apart, I asked for an estimate on swapping out the stock gears for a set of FRPP 4.10s. The guy called me back and told me that this can't be done because of the electronics. He also said I can't install an aftermarket diff. for the same reason (my uncle works at Eaton, can get a new diff for cheaper than fixing the broken Ford diff). He is full of crap, right? Who ever heard of NOT being able to put 4.10s on your car? Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? Thanks.
