 Time to do the brakes on '65 coupe (6cyl) and I want to keep drum/drums but want to put a power master cylinder. I have the master cylinder but have no more vacuum lines available. The ones on the bottom of the carb are two small and - from a post earlier about the vacuum advance on the dist - and will not work for a brake booster.

Can you add something to the I6 to get another vacuum line? Spacer or something? If not, what kind of dual manual master cylinder would bolt in?? My stock single doesn't bug me but it might if it fails all of a sudden.

Really would like the power brakes though....

I imagine that the power braked units had a carb spacer with a large vacuum fitting for the booster. There is a leverage issue with converting drums to power assist. The power drum equipped cars of the day often used a pedal with different leverage, as the manual pedal would be too grabby. Just a thought....
