help on dumping codes 94 5.0

Just got done doing a diognostic test on my 94 5.0 and now im wondering how to dump the codes to see if the problem was fixed.

Are you trying to get rid of the stored codes?

You should just be able to disconnect the battery and let it sit for like 20 minutes or so...that should kill the memory codes...

I have heard that you have to touch the negative and positive leads together to accomplish this, but I have never had to...

Touching the leads together quickly discharges the capacitors (so one can reconnect the battery after a minute or less).

just trying to get rid of them, tried disconnecting battery for 20 min and no success ill try to touch them together. Thanks guys

It might be easier to disconnect the battery and then turn on your headlight switch. You just need to create a draw (like the headlight circuit, brake light circuit, etc) to discharge those caps.
