You should just be able to disconnect the battery and let it sit for like 20 minutes or so...that should kill the memory codes... I have heard that you have to touch the negative and positive leads together to accomplish this, but I have never had to...

You just need to create a draw (like the headlight circuit, brake light circuit, etc) to discharge those caps.
