If the OP is still around, do not spend one penny more on that basket case. Sell it for whatever you can and buy a good running, complete, low mile, non abused V8 Mustang. The worst choice in my opinion are the 94-95 years. They still had pushrod motors and a heavier body. $6500 is more than enough money for you to buy a nice ALREADY modified Mustang- either a fox body or 96-2003 model. If you choose to ignore everyone's advice, then good luck to you, but expect a LOT of I told you so.

Lastly, leave your attitude at the door. You will get more help that way.
